Walmart and Sam’s Club raise over $240,000 during their annual campaign.

Walmart and Sam’s Club associates in our region continue to set the example that making the ask can make a difference in a child’s life. This year during their annual five week campaign, with support from their customers and members, they were able to raise over $240,000 for East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. Their efforts don’t stop at the campaign as many locations continue to raise money in various ways throughout the entire year.

This effort is part of a national campaign for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals which resulted in $30 million raised this year, putting the total raised in the U.S. and Canada since 1987 over the $1 billion mark. Research done by Engage for Good shows that the cumulative $1 billion in cash raised for CMN Hospitals over the years by Walmart and Sam’s Club represents the largest amount ever raised for a nonprofit by one company in North America. Wow! The time and energy dedicated every year by their associates has impacted tens of millions of kids across the U.S. and Canada, giving them the chance to just be kids.

Thank you Walmart and Sam’s Club for your continues support of not only East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, but children’s hospitals across the U.S. and Canada.
